Message/Bulletin Board Terms and Conditions

We welcome you to visit our bulletin boards daily to learn through the exchange of ideas. The AAS wants you to use our bulletin boards to find valuable and educational responses to your issues and questions regarding astronomy, space exploration and the promotion of the Aldrich Astronomical Society Inc. We value your participation in the bulleting boards and ask you to please help us maintain a friendly, safe and informative environment.
You may not post offensive material, or material which infringes the rights of others on bulletin boards. Without limitation, the following posts to bulletin boards or e-mails are not permitted:

• Posts which defame or are derogatory towards the Aldrich Astronomical Society Inc, the Officers, Board of Directors, Committee Members and the general membership.
• Posts which violate the bylaws and general operating guidelines of the Aldrich Astronomical Society Inc.
• Posts, which defame, abuse, harass, threaten others, are sexually orientated, derogatory or any other material that may violate any applicable local, state or federal laws.
• Posts (and uploads) which contain any material which is protected by copyright, trademark or any other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner of such right;
• Posts which advertise, or contain any form of commercial solicitation without express permission of the owner of such right;
• Spamming (Posts repeated on various boards and folders);
• Posts which contain personal information such as phone numbers, addresses, email addresses or any other pertinent information;
• Posts which contain hyperlinks to sites that violate any of the above guidelines;
• Posts in which the user impersonates anyone else, specifically including any other visitor or any AAS member.

AAS has a team who will monitor our bulletin boards daily to ensure a safe, responsive, informative and productive environment. The team may remove posts which they find violates the guidelines set forth.

The AAS is under no obligation to perform any such monitoring or policing and assumes no responsibility or liability arising because of error, omission, transmission of any material which violates the rights of any third party under copyright, trademark, privacy or other law. The AAS may cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or comply with any order requesting or directing it to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials.

By posting any material, you irrevocably waive any rights of any sort you may have to it and authorize AAS to use such material in any manner it sees fit. All right, title and interest in and too any materials posted on the site shall belong to the AAS.

The opinions expressed in bulletin boards are not necessarily those of the AAS. All statements, advice and opinions made by participants in bulletin boards are those of such participant only, and the AAS neither endorses nor shall be held responsible in any way for any injury, loss or damage, which occurs as a result of an opinion expressed or information provided in these sections of its site. AAS makes no warranties, express or implied, as to the content of bulletin boards or similar areas or the accuracy, or reliability of any information or statements contained therein.

By posting material, you irrevocably agree to defend, indemnify and hold AAS (its related entities, officer, directors, employees and agents) harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses arising out of any material you post, submit or upload.
AAS reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse access to the website to any visitor or member who violates these Terms and Conditions.
